What is Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS)?
Computer Vision Syndrome describes a collection of problems (mostly related to your eyes) that you can get by staring at a digital screen for a long time without breaks.

Symptoms include blurred vision, dry eyes, difficulties with focusing, irritated eyes, headaches, and fatigue.
Does Breaks For Eyes help to prevent CVS?
Yes! Taking regular breaks is the most efficient way to avoid CVS. Breaks For Eyes help you take breaks every 20 minutes, according to a famous 20-20-20 rule.

We interviewed a doctor, and he recommends the 20-20-20 rule to all people who work on a computer.
What does Breaks For Eyes actually do?
It helps prevent or fight Computer Vision Syndrome by reminding you to take regular breaks while using your computer.

Every 20 minutes it blocks your screen and asks you to look at something 20 ft (6 m) away from you. After 20 seconds, the screen is unblocked and you can continue your work.

Not to take you by surprise in the middle of some super-important work, there's a neat countdown timer in the menu bar which shows how much time is left until your next break.
Can I skip a break?
If a break catches you by surprise, you can easily skip it and your screen will be immediately unblocked.
Can I snooze breaks?
You can snooze (pause) all breaks for 30 min, 1h, 2h, 4h or until the end of the day. Click the button in the menu bar to do so.

For instance, you can select 2h if you're watching a movie and don't want your screen to be blocked.
If I skip a break, will it break my streak?
You can skip one break per day without breaking your streak.
If I snooze breaks, will it break my streak?
No. Snoozing (pausing) break reminders does not affect your streak.
